Just a 5 minute walk from Clarke Quay MRT Station, City Backpackers offers air-conditioned private and dormitory rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free hot coffee/tea and toast are available every morning. There is also a free computer station and a backyard garden.

Simply furnished, dormitory rooms all come with private lockers and a reading light. Private rooms have a balcony and a flat-screen TV. Guests have access to shared bathroom facilities.

City Backpackers is a short 5 minute walk from nightlife and restaurants at Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. It is within a 10 minute walk of Chinatown and the Singapore Art Museum. Changi International Airport is a 25 minute drive away.

The location and the AC is Good.

Breakfast schedule is not consistent. I didnt get any of the 2 breakfast that i have paid for, so dissapointing. They said that there is a separate room for men and women, but i was surprise we are mixed. Room is not that clean.bedsheet and conforters were not washed. Its not was with the picture.wahing machine is not working either.

Staff is friendly.

The photos shown is completely different as what we stay. The photo looks good and clean, in fact, the building is quite old and there is no locker for us. Bath room was kind of smelly.

It is incredibly central, located in the very heart of Singapore, just a little away from the bay and near everything (stores, metro stations and so on). The price is also the lowest, so, if traveling cheap, that’s the place.

The accommodation is not the most comfortable. The bathroom facilities are very poor, both toilet and showers, and were not very clean when I came. The rooms are small and filled as much as possible, so they are dark and only ventilated by AC. There is no kitchen facilities, just some tables at the entrance were they put water. No living room facilities besides one couch.

The best thing was the staff she was friendly, helpful and kind. Location was good.

We didn't like the room. Tere was not enough plug, 6 beds but only 2 double plug. Breakfast was okay

Welcome to bed bugs hostel

I only like Adil the hostel manager. he was 1 man army. he was nice.

This hostel has bed bugs and they are not even cleaning properly. Hostel owner is a greedy person. he hired only 1 person to do entire hostel work. for instance, handle reception, do the cleaning of the bathroom, rooms, manage breakfast and whatever is left. he should be only 1 to do the job which is horrible. This can be a nice hostel according to the location but the owner does not care about his reputation. this is my worst stay ever in hostel.

Awful hostel!!!

Location. Close to metro and harbour front.

Everything in the building! It was filthy, smelled like mould, the sheets and mattresses were worn with tears in them. The place was a dump. Broken shower and dirty washrooms. Breakfast was bread and jam, not even a toaster. After one night I asked for refund and they said to email booking.com even after I showed them the policy that the property needs to deal with that. I just wanted out of there.

The hostel is really close to the main attractions in Singapore...20 minutes walk to the Gardens By The Bay and 10 minutes walk to Chinatown

Only one shower was working of two...and on the website is written that the breakfast is included, it’s true, but there was only tea because apparently the coffee was finished and there was only bread( no toaster) with jam..so...no choice for breakfast. For the price we paid I didn’t expect more, but a toaster would be appreciated

BED BUGS!!!!

Nice staff and very very good location.

I COUNTED THAT I GOT 61 BED BUG BITES!!! I’ve backpacked for 6 months and I’ve never had a problem as bad as this. No free shampoo or soap in the bathrooms.
